Hi, we’re Derek and Ruthanne. Our journey in Holt began in 2019, driven by a father’s mission to create a sanctuary for his autistic daughter. She needed an environment safe from the overstimulation of the modern world, and food that was completely clean to support her healing.
Raising six kids, we became dedicated to total transparency—pure, nutrient-dense, and exactly as nature intended. We also longed for a space filled with Ruthanne's passion: aromatic, chemical-free blooms that bring sensory beauty to the table.
When we couldn't find a source that met our family's high standards, we decided to become the farmers ourselves. We built KC Farm Stand to be a working regenerative farm. But as the pastures grew greener and the flowers bloomed, we realized this space was too healing to keep to ourselves.
