Common Questions from Our Community
How far is KC Farm Stand from Liberty, Kearney, and the KC Northland?
We are conveniently located in Holt, just about 15 minutes north of Liberty and 10 minutes from Kearney. It’s a quick, easy drive for our Clay County and Northland neighbors looking for a peaceful escape and high-quality local food.
Where can I find local pasture-raised meat and chemical-free flowers in Clay County?
You can find our 100% grass-finished beef, pasture-raised lamb, and seasonal blooms right here at our farm stand in Holt. We are proud to serve families across Clay County who are looking for transparently raised food and a sensory-safe farm experience close to home.
How do I buy bulk grass-fed beef in the Kansas City area?
You can shop individual cuts of our 100% grass-finished beef at our Holt farm stand during open hours. For bulk bundles (quarter, half, or whole beef shares), we recommend reserving online ahead of our seasonal harvests to guarantee your share.
Do you sell pasture-raised lamb by the cut or just wholes/halves?
Both! You can pick up individual cuts of our ethically raised Missouri lamb at the farm stand, or reserve a half lamb to fill your freezer for the season.
Are your fresh-cut flowers edible?
Yes. We grow chemical-free, aromatic blooms in the KC Northland. Because we use zero synthetic pesticides, our select herbal bouquets are safe for your table and your family.
Are your fresh-cut flowers safe for pets to smell?
Yes! We grow chemical-free blooms here in the KC Northland. We use zero synthetic pesticides, so our seasonal flower bouquets are completely safe for your table, your nose, and your family.
Can I bring my kids to the farm?
Absolutely. We are a family farm and love hosting families for our limited-ticket events like bottle lamb days and tea parties. We just ask that you keep little ones close during your visit, as this is a working regenerative farm with electric fences and livestock.
Do I need an appointment to visit?
You are welcome to shop without an appointment during our Open Stand Hours! However, if you are looking to tour the farm or discuss hosting a private, sensory-safe micro-celebration, please contact us to set up an appointment so we can give you our full attention.
What kind of private events do you host in the Northland?
We specialize in intimate, sensory-safe micro-celebrations for 50 people or less. Our farm is a popular setting for golden-hour bridal showers, private garden tea parties, anniversary celebrations, and small family reunions.
What 2026 farm events are open to the public?
Our 2026 calendar includes Bottle Lamb Days (May-June), "Sip and Style" Flower Workshops, and our "Bubbles and Blooms" fall u-pick, and the Autumn Garden Party. Public events require a limited-access ticket to maintain a peaceful, "non-carnival" atmosphere.
Do you offer farm-to-table dinners?
We are currently developing our 2027 calendar to include formal farm-to-table dinners featuring our pasture-raised meats and local chefs.
Can I book a photography session at the farm?
Yes! We provide the "perfect setting," and you bring the professional photographer. We offer various slots, from 30-minute mini-sessions to 2-hour "Prime Time" weekend sunset sessions.
What are your photography fees?
Our rates are designed to keep the farm a quiet, exclusive space:
- $50: 30-minute mini-session
- $65: 1-hour session
- $100: 2-hour weekday session
- $125: 2-hour weekend daytime session
- $175: 2-hour "Prime Time" weekend sunset session
